Neeraj Arora joined Google in 2007, and is a Principal in its Corporate Development team, which is responsible for evaluation, negotiating and executing Google's mergers, acquisitions and investments. He has led a number of Google's key strategic acquisitions and investments both in the U.S. and in India. Previous to Google, Neeraj worked as Chief Manager at Indiatimes.comfocussing on new product development and strategic investments. Neeraj has a Bachelors in Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

Jason Bailey is a dynamic leader and entrepreneur known for his great sense of humor. He’s been involved in website building and development since 1998. His engineering specialties include SEO, SEM, CPA, Affiliate Marketing, Web usability, Web analytics, eCommerce, PHP, mySQL, and scripting languages. He is a game enthusiast and strategist and consults with game developers on a daily basis to help take their games to the next level. In 2006, Jason founded KITN Media, a leading CPA affiliate network, which evolved into Super Rewards in December of 2007. In just eighteen short months, Jason grew Super Rewards to become the world’s largest online virtual currency monetization platform, leading to the company’s acquisition by Adknowledge in July 2009.

Garrett Camp, Founder - StumbleUpon

Garrett Camp

Garrett has guided StumbleUpon’s development since 2001, from inception to more than 15 million registered users. StumbleUpon is now the largest personalized content discovery engine on the web, delivering more than 1 billion personalized recommendations per month. Garrett completed his Masters in Software Engineering at the University of Calgary, where he researched interfaces for collaborative systems, evolutionary algorithms and information retrieval. He is also a 2007 recipient of MIT Technology Review’s TR35 award.

Wesley Chan, Investment Partner - Google Ventures

Wesley Chan

Wesley Chan is a fun-loving entrepreneur and joined the Google Ventures team in 2009. Wesley is based out of Seattle, WA. As an early employee at Google, Wesley helped to start, launch, and grow Google Analytics and Google Voice – products which millions of users depend on worldwide. Wesley is a recipient of Google's founder award – the company's most prestigious recognition--for leading the development of Google Toolbar and building out Google's early client efforts. Additionally, Wesley has held positions as a research lead at HP Labs, a Program Manager at Microsoft, and holds both Masters and Bachelor degrees from MIT where he did his graduate research at the Media Laboratory. In his spare time, Wesley also serves as Google's Chief Photographer Emeritus. His favorite camera is the Canon EOS-5D Mark II.

Brian Church is currently country manager for Canada at LinkedIn. A transformative sales and business leader, Brian has spent the last 13 years working with the world’s largest technology firms. As country manager, Brian leads Canadian operations for the world’s largest online professional network and is responsible for increasing awareness, adoption and advocacy of LinkedIn with a focus on driving revenue, strategic partnerships and member growth and engagement. Previous to taking on the role of country manager, Brian was director of hiring solutions for LinkedIn Canada, focused on helping Canadian companies identify and attract the best talent to their organizations. Mike Ghaffary, Director - Yelp

Mike Ghaffary

Mike Ghaffary joined Yelp in October 2010 as the Director of Business Development.  Prior to Yelp, Mike was the Director of Business Development at TrialPay, where he led partnerships with Facebook and a variety of other companies.  Before that, he was the co-founder and VP of Business Development at Stitcher, and VP at Summit Partners.  He is also co-founder of BarMax and previously worked at the Boston Consulting Group and MSC Software.  Mike holds a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Political Science from the University of Southern California, a JD from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Rob Hayes, Managing Partner - First Round Capital

Rob Hayes

Rob joined First Round Capital in 2006. Rob came to First Round Capital from Omidyar Network where he was their first venture investor. He led most of Omidyar Network's initial venture capital deals and later built and ran the technology investing group. Prior to joining Omidyar Network in 2004, Rob was at Palm where he started up their corporate venture fund. While in that role he also managed the strategy effort around Palm OS that led to the spinout of PalmSource. Rob started at Palm as product manager for the initial device-independent releases of Palm OS.  During this time, Rob was responsible for the versions of Palm OS on dozens of devices including the initial Treo products. Rob previously spearheaded complex, system-level product development efforts at companies such as Geoworks and Go Corp where he focused on building products for the Japanese market. He began his career with the Japan External Trade Organization, studying international trade issues and building relationships between US and Japanese businesses, at a time when trade friction between the two countries was at its peak.

Debbie Landa, CEO and Founder - Dealmaker Media

Debbie Landa

Debbie Landa, founder of Dealmaker Media, is an entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in business development, sales, and marketing. She currently is on the executive committee for the C100 as well as dabbling in some angel investing. Before starting Dealmaker Media in 2000, Debbie was the director of business development for Double Impact, a venture catalyst firm focused on accelerating the growth of emerging startup companies. Prior to that, she was the founder of several fashion based companies including a marketing, PR and event production company. In addition, Debbie has 10 years of experience in the apparel industry, working with various clothing manufacturers, designing and developing private-label programs for major retailers.

Lars Leckie, Partner - Hummer Winblad

Lars is a Partner at Hummer Winblad and has played a key role in the firm’s investments in Aria Systems, vKernel, Karmasphere and NimbusDB. Prior to joining Hummer Winblad Venture Partners in 2006, Lars was involved in founding and operational roles at start-up companies. He was a co-founder of AutoFarm (now Novariant), a company focused on GPS and robotics. Lars was in charge of strategy, product marketing, business development and building the sales team across three continents. Lars has a Masters of Science (Engineering) from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of business. He also holds an Engineering Physics degree from Queen’s University (with Honors). Lars sits on the board of the SIIA (Software Information Industry Association) and is a founding charter member of the C100 (Canadians in the Silicon Valley).

Chris O’Neill, Managing Director - Google Canada

Chris O’Neill

Chris leads Google’s operations in Canada. Mr. O’Neill is responsible for forging strong relationships with the Canadian advertising and media agency community, driving digital growth and enhancing digital understanding across the country. Two of his main priorities are to build Google’s brand and fuel Canadian business growth through innovation. Mr. O’Neill returns home to Canada with over fifteen years of marketing, strategy, media and partnership development experience. Most recently, he served as Director of Retail for Google’s US operations, demonstrating excellence in innovation and partnership development. Prior to Google, Mr. O'Neill worked at HSBC with P&L responsibility for a consumer finance line of business, and was a management consultant at Mercer Management Consulting.  He started his career on the floor of his family’s Canadian Tire store.

Senia Rapisarda, Vice President, Strategic Initiatives - BDC

Senia Rapisarda

In this role, she will lead BDC’s efforts to develop a healthy VC ecosystem in Canada through several key strategic initiatives, including the creation of an angel accreditation and matching program, the launch of a technology entrepreneur development initiative and the development of a program to increase the global connectivity of Canadian companies. She has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors, including roles as senior advisor at NUR Energie, a London-based investment fund specialized in renewable energy; and Managing Director of the Technology Private Equity Team at Nomura International, managing over $300 million of investments in 42 companies across Europe, Israel and the U.S. She is the founder of the Coller Institute at the London Business School - the first in Europe to provide a forum for the exchange of views and analysis of trends and policy issues in venture capital and private equity.

Mayor Gregor Robertson, Mayor - City of Vancouver

In November 2008, the people of Vancouver chose Gregor Robertson as their new Mayor. He was elected on a platform of ending street homelessness in the City of Vancouver by 2015, and making Vancouver the greenest city in the world. Mayor Robertson is committed to building a sustainable and thriving economy in Vancouver. By working to foster economic hubs in the burgeoning green economy, including digital media, clean technology, and renewable energy, Mayor Robertson is establishing Vancouver internationally as the Green Capital—a City where going green is good for business. Prior to entering politics, Gregor co-founded Happy Planet, and grew the Vancouver-based socially responsible company up to 50 employees in 10 years. Happy Planet produces organic juices and promotes health and nutrition. For his achievements as a successful entrepreneur and community leader, Gregor was named one of Canada’s “Top 40 under 40” by The Globe and Mail in 2004.

Aydin Senkut has been named one of the top 25 tech angels by Businessweek recently. Aydin's been an angel investor in promising start-ups since 2006. His portfolio encompasses over 50 companies including Appjet (acquired by Google), Aardvark (acquired by Google), Brightroll, Disqus, Erply, Imageshack, Inkling, Justin.tv, Meraki, Mint (acquired by Intuit), Mochi Media (acquired by Shanda Games), Outright, Posterous, Powerset (acquired by Microsoft), Plusmo (acquired by AT&T), Practice Fusion, RichRelevance, Sendori (acquired by IAC), Tapulous, and Yume Networks. Munjal Shah, GM, Boutiques - Google

Munjal Shah

Munjal Shah runs the soft goods team at Google (which launched boutiques.com). He came to Google when his company like.com was acquired in 2011.  Prior to Like.com he was co-founder and CEO of Andale Inc, a provider of software to eBay merchants. While he was CEO, Andale grew from 0 to double digit millions in revenue. Prior to Andale, Baan, IBM, and a startup called Blaxxun Interactive. Munjal started his career in artificial intelligence, writing software for Agouron Pharmaceuticals that predicted the efficacy of anti-HIV drugs. BusinessWeek declared Munjal one of the Top 10 up and coming CEOs in 2001. He received his Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University and his Bachelors in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.

Mark Silva is SVP Emerging Platforms for Anthem Worldwide, a full service strategic brand consultancy division of Schawk, Inc. Prior to joining Schawk, Silva founded and lead Real Branding, a leading digital marketing agency headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York and Toronto. Silva has been bringing emerging platforms to brands since the earliest days, helping launch CareerMosaic at Omnicom in 1994 as one of the first 100 commercial enterprises on the web. Silva has led online brand strategy for the world’s largest and most beloved companies and brands including ABC/Disney, Anheuser-Bush/Inbev, Darden Restaurants, Pepsico, Unilever and Warner Bros. He is a frequent speaker, advisor and resource for industry matters.

Brian Wong is the founder of kiip, a mobile rewards network, backed by True Ventures. Kiip has raised over $4.4 million in funding to date and is redefining the advertising industry through a "moments"-based value model, versus the traditional attention based screen estate model. Very recently, Kiip was listed by Forbes as one of the "4 Hot Online Ad Companies to Put on Your Watch List". Brian was an early Bachelors of Commerce graduate from the UBC, graduating at the age of 18, after skipping four grades.  He was recently lauded in Mashable as one of "The Top 5 Young Entrepreneurs to Watch", and the Vancouver Sun called him "a budding internet visionary".  Before starting kiip, Brian was responsible for key publisher and tech partnerships at Digg.com. He also launched the Digg Android mobile app.

Amin Zoufonoun, Director, Corporate Development - Facebook

Amin Zoufonoun is Director of Corporate Development at Facebook, where he heads up the company's M&A activities.  Previous to Facebook, Amin spent 8 years at Google most recently as Director of Corporate Development with responsibility for strategic initiatives, including new businesses, M&A and investments.  He was also named an inventor on a number of Google's patent filings.  Before Google, Amin was Deputy General Counsel & Director of Intellectual Property for ArrayComm, a wireless startup.  Mr. Zoufonoun holds a degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a Juris Doctor (law) degree, both from Santa Clara University.
